FCJC
WEB DESIGN | USER EXPERIENCE | USER INTERFACE
Families in Christ Jesus Community (FCJC) is a national Catholic lay community that emphasizes family life renewal and evangelization by hosting prayer meetings, retreats, workshops, lectures, and conferences. The Northern California community needed a website because it lacked an online presence and needed a place to advertise events, archive media, and cover news. Previous attempts to establish an online presence had little to show. The organization recruited our team to produce a new, practical, and user-friendly website. We would also provide this website to serve as a template for the redesign of other regional communities' websites.
I worked toward redesigning the FCJC website with an appealing user experience and user interface in mind. I first made wireframes in Sketch to visualize the website layout. Through testing, I also explored how users would interact with the website generating new ideas for refinement. I developed the wireframes further before translating them into digital mockups. Our team is now using the mockups as a guide for coding the website.
